Some FAQ questions:

Is The Slovenian pedigree oficially recognized in other EU countries?

The Slovenian pedigree is officially recognized in Italy, as well as in other EU countries and can be registered to your dog association following the standard procedures requested for the transfer of ownership. If the puppy is exported, he is supplied at our cost with the export pedigree with includes the name of the new owner, directly in the original paper.

At what age puppies can leave their mother?

This happens by two months of age on, when they have completed the cycle of care (veterinary checks, tattoo, first vaccination, antiworm cures etc.). Leaving before, it would be too early and it could affect socialization.

How they behave with other dogs and possibly do they go after cats or other potential preys?

It is very important that the puppy has the chance to play with its siblings and attend the other family dogs, cats and human members. In this way, they can learn the rules of behaving with their peers and it will be easier to introduce them in the new environment and prepare them to the meeting with other animals such as cats. The nature of the whippet is one of the predator but our dogs are naturalized in our home, in the civic life, prepared to meetings of every day so they are suitable for a family life.
We chose to give this address of our breeding, rather than focusing on their hunt instincts and train them for coursing purpose (chasing its prey).

Is it a dog easy to carry around on vacation?

They are contained and not bulky size,  their behavior is noble and calm and this makes the whippet the perfect dog to take with us, as well as a welcome guest of hotels and homes of friends. If properly socialized, he will not be quite shy, as they tend to be some whippet, and gladly to meet with other dogs.

Is he easy to train? Remember things easily?

You'll be amazed by his ability to learn and the speed in which perceives the behavior and the temperament of the other family members. The males, unlike other dog breeds are very trainable, same as the females, these are also a bit more independent from their master while the males are extremly sweet and very patient with children but tend to be more attached to the presence of humans and they are much less willing to stay alone at home.

At home all day sleeping on the couch, have I to worry about becoming fat or is he not well?

The whippet has two faces: at home, their activity is minimal but when you walk them out to run they vent their energy.
This dog breed behaves like some cats. Atavistically being a talented predator, these canine did not have to search through the waste and scrap because they had good sight to hunt, they got food easily and then rested ... and then it has evolved accordingly. Now the food comes from you and therefore its need for activity is reduced to the outputs daily routine, which must be added about twenty minutes a day for exercise and possibly run free in some field. If this is not possible, take him outside to do activities on weekends. The rest of the time he will rest comfortable on the sofa in your living room.

Puppies destroy objects?

In part, I have already answered in the "training" page but I remember you that within the first year of life they are very active and eager to stimuli; they also feature a wonderful experience in the use of teeth, then change and become very quiet. Having a dog, initially involves some surrender of comfort and some adjustment of the house but you will be praised from your whippet.
